Biography
Rob Cain is a seasoned finance and corporate strategy executive with deep expertise in capital markets, M&A, IPOs, and investor relations. Over his career, he has led $2B+ in transactions, raised over $1B in capital, and served as CFO or COO for six companies—guiding multiple organizations through high-growth phases, successful exits, and public listings.
Rob’s strategic focus spans private equity, venture capital, and family office investment. He works closely with HNWIs, institutional investors, and executive teams to optimize capital structures, execute complex deals, and drive long-term value creation. His industry experience includes media, technology, AI, gaming, real estate, and healthcare.
In recent roles, Rob has helped lead companies through transformative growth, including a 20x revenue increase for a SaaS firm in two years. His transaction history includes marquee deals such as MGM’s $180M NYSE IPO, a $60M Chinese OTC listing, and the $825M acquisition of Rainbow Media.
With deep ties to media and entertainment, Rob has raised $75M+ in venture capital for content ventures and executive produced several acclaimed films, including The Usual Suspects, Blade 2, Mongol (Academy Award nominee), and Cabin Fever. He has advised leading studios like Sony Pictures, Universal, and DirecTV.
Rob holds an MBA with Honors from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BA with Honors in Economics & East Asian Studies from Harvard University.
