Biography

Shona Wilson is a finance transformation executive and AI strategy leader known for modernizing complex industrial, energy, and commodities organizations. For over two decades she has built a reputation for diagnosing inefficiencies with precision, implementing automation that reduces manual effort, and designing governance frameworks that strengthen financial integrity. Her work consistently improves speed, accuracy, compliance, and operational resilience—positioning her as a rare leader who combines CFO-level strategy with hands-on AI execution.

As an Everest Managing Director, Shona advises boards, PE sponsors, and executive teams on AI governance, enterprise adoption, and the design of agentic automations that transform financial and operational workflows. She helps organizations identify where AI creates real value, deploy it responsibly, and build the controls, reporting structures, and operating models required for long-term success.

Before joining Everest, Shona served as CFO of enCore Energy Corp (TSX: EU, NASDAQ: EU), where she led a comprehensive finance transformation during a period of rapid regulatory and operational expansion. In under six months, she implemented SOX 404(b), completed a three-year U.S. GAAP audit, and converted IFRS to U.S. GAAP—while reducing the monthly close by three weeks. She also strengthened procurement, liquidity management, vendor governance, and organizational capacity, introducing automation that shifted teams toward higher-value analysis.

Earlier, as CFO of kWantix, she built the finance, risk, and compliance infrastructure for a PE-backed energy trading firm operating across PJM, MISO, CAISO, ERCOT, and SPP—redesigning operations, strengthening controls, and leading vendor and contract optimization. She has also held leadership roles at Platts/S&P Global, Citigroup, Buckeye Partners, and LyondellBasell, further deepening her expertise in valuation, regulatory reporting, risk management, trading operations, and team leadership.

Shona began her career at PwC in audit and financial controls, developing the analytical rigor and governance mindset that define her leadership today. She holds a B.A. in Accountancy from Oregon State University and is a Certified Public Accountant, Inactive.
