Biography

Chad Barber is an Interim CFO and finance transformation leader with more than 15 years driving value creation, SEC reporting, and M&A integration across private equity-backed and Fortune 500 organizations. He partners with CEOs, boards, and audit committees to translate complex strategies into measurable EBITDA growth, cash flow improvement, and operational discipline.

As an Everest Managing Director, Chad serves as Interim CFO and senior finance advisor to public companies, private equity sponsors, and executive leadership teams. Most recently appointed Interim CFO of a multibillion-dollar manufacturing business, he rebuilt close and reporting processes, strengthened audit readiness and internal controls, and stood up FP&A and performance management frameworks.

Across his Everest engagements, Chad has delivered EBITDA uplift through pricing analytics, SG&A reduction, and cost-to-serve optimization for PE-backed portfolio companies, unlocked significant free cash flow through working capital discipline, and built enterprise PMOs that improve execution velocity for sponsor-owned and Fortune 500 platforms.

Previously, Chad was Senior Director of Strategy & Transformation at Veritiv, a Fortune 300 publicly traded distributor, where he integrated four business units into a unified operating model and contributed to substantial shareholder value creation. He also held leadership roles in investment management, corporate strategy, and GAAP reporting at JM Family Enterprises, and was a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting modernizing FP&A through Hyperion and SAP implementations. He began his career at PwC as an Audit Manager in Financial Services, leading SEC and SOX engagements for global banks.

Chad earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BBA in Finance and Accounting from Emory University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, Florida).
