Biography
Paul Shaffer is a seasoned finance and strategy executive with over 15 years of leadership experience across SaaS, eCommerce, manufacturing, and environmental services. Through data-driven decision making, he has led high-impact initiatives for venture-backed, PE-sponsored, and public companies, with a proven track record in scaling operations, driving revenue growth, optimizing financial performance, and executing complex capital transactions (including supporting approximately $200M in capital raises and approximately $400M in M&A transactions).
As a Managing Director with Everest Advisors, Paul specializes in interim and fractional CFO services, advising companies on capital raises, M&A readiness, financial planning, operational improvement, and financial / board reporting and audit readiness. His recent consulting work includes leading the financial preparation for a $100M+ equity raise at PacketFabric and securing a $10M bridge loan, as well as managing global financial operations in preparation for a successful M&A transaction at Endpoint Protector by CoSoSys.
Previously, Paul served as CFO of LiveVox, where he scaled ARR from $4M to $70M, achieved profitability and a SaaS Rule of 40+, and led the company through a successful sale to Golden Gate Capital. He has also held senior finance roles at Allied Waste Industries and RazorGator, where he led financial turnarounds, secured major funding rounds, and implemented foundational FP&A and reporting infrastructure.
Paul holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Economics, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is Known for his strategic partnership with CEOs, boards, and investors, and brings deep expertise in financial reporting, FP&A, capital markets, M&A, international operations, investor relations, and systems implementation.
